PHILOSOPHY AND SUSTAINABILITY

Respect for nature
is an act of wisdom
and gratitude toward the
resources that it
generously offers us.
Respect for nature
is an act of wisdom
and gratitude toward the resources it generously offers us.
We have a moral duty to preserve them for generations to come.
This is why we strongly believe in the principles of environmental sustainability, its circularity and the social generativity of business.
We have created anoasis of peace in complete harmony with its surroundings, enhancing local resources and promoting a relationship in perfect balance between man and nature.
The entire Agriresort is powered by a 125kwh photovoltaic system, which is capable of producing electricity, exceeding the farm's current needs.
We base our philosophy on "circularity." Wastewater from the winery, kitchen and rooms is treated by means of two artificial phyto-purification ponds: a natural wastewater purification system, which, thanks to its inhabitants, such as fish, reedbeds and water lilies, purify the water so that it can be drained downstream and used forirrigation of our vineyards.
A Reverse Osmosis purification plant makes it possible to purify water from underground aquifers and extracted through wells, without any use of environmentally harmful additives, and then to use it in winery processes and for domestic use.
In addition, the chicken coop, with its 40 hens, is another important part of our facility: some of the poultry manure produced by the hens is used as fertilizer for the garden. The chicken coop structure is equipped with a domotic shutter system, which allows light, temperature, and space to be balanced to improve the welfare of the hens.
A small and innovative biodigester has been installed in the kitchen of our Passo 65 restaurant. It transforms kitchen and garden waste into biomethane, which is used to power the restaurant's stovetop.
In addition, the entire agriresort is powered by green energy from renewable sources. These sustainable practices demonstrate Agriresort Judeka's commitment to reducing waste and achieving greater energy efficiency, promoting and disseminating an environmentally sustainable philosophy of living to our guests.
Our wine resort in Sicily goes beyond KM 0: all raw materials used in the kitchen come from the surroundingvegetable garden, vineyards, orchards, and other trees, just 65 steps from the restaurant.
What cannot be grown or produced in the facility comes from local farmers and producers, promoting a social generativity of enterprises, which allows us to create a positive impact through our activities, generating employment, supporting the local agricultural supply chain and promoting environmental awareness among our guests and the community.
Another important project will soon be completed: the implementation of an agrophotovoltaic system, a system that combines agricultural cultivation with photovoltaic power generation, with panels mounted 2.5 meters above the vines.
